Check Out Policy
All materials are checked out for a four week period. Books may by renewed by patron request in person, by Internet or on the phone. Materials that are on reserve for another patron may not be renewed.
Magazines and paperbacks that do not have bar codes are counted on the census, but do not have due dates. The patron is encouraged to bring them back when they are finished.
Reference material is not to be checked out and must be used at the library. Photocopying for these materials upon request is available as a service of the library.
There are no limitations on the number of books, per adult patron. However, there is a limit of 5 items per juvenile patron per visit if they are not accompanied by an adult. The Reardan Memorial Library does not practice censorship, and therefore does not screen material according to patron age. Parents are encouraged to review the material their children bring home from the library.
DVD's are limited to 10 per family.
Fines/Replacement Costs
The Reardan Memorial Library does not charge fines for late material.
If an item is not returned on time, a phone call will be made to the patron, as a reminder. If the item is still not returned, a letter will be sent listing the items that are overdue.
If the item is lost or damaged beyond reasonable repair, the patron will be charged the replacement cost of the material.
At the discretion of the library, a substitute item of equal value may be purchased, if the original item is no longer available.
Use of the Library
No outside food or drink.
Service animals only.
Shirts and shoes required.
Patrons may be removed for any disorderly conduct.
